You are cordially invited to the Institute’s seminar entitled „AI and its roles“, presented by Dr. Daniela Vacek, from the Institute of Philosophy, Slovak Academy of Sciences, and Kempelen Institute of Intelligent Technologies. Dr. Vacek will talk about how AI systems increasingly appear to occupy human-like roles — as friends, assistants, or even citizens — and what this means for our understanding of agency and responsibility. She will discuss why this blurring of boundaries is problematic and how we might respond to it. The seminar will be in English.
