This project examines multicultural commitment as a pathway to social change that can simultaneously reduce prejudice and promote collective action among majority and minority groups. It investigates how multicultural ideology, multiculturalist identity, and inclusive national identity predict support for collective action not only within minority groups but also between different ethnic and religious minorities, particularly toward highly stigmatized groups such as Muslims. The project aims to clarify the conditions under which multiculturalism can strengthen cross-group support for social equality. |
