Researcher Position at the Institute for Research in Social Communication, Slovak Academy of Sciences (part time)
The Institute for Research in Social Communication of the Slovak Academy of Sciences (SAS) is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher (R2) for a fixed-term part-time position (0,49), starting in November 2024 till August 2027.

Postdoctoral Researcher (R2) Position
Position Overview:
The successful candidate will join a dynamic team working on cutting-edge research in family psychology, with a focus on transformation of families and parenting. The project (APVV-23-0102), led by Dr. Miroslav Popper, aims to examine well-being and resilience in single-parent families.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research in psychology, focusing on the experiences of single-parent families, particularly adults having experience of growing up in this type of family.
- Collaborate with Dr. Popper and other experts in the research team.
- Contribute to scholarly publications and present research findings at conferences.
Qualifications:
- PhD. in Psychology, Sociology or related disciplines.
- Proven experience with conducting research interviews and qualitative analysis research.
- Proven record of scholarly publication in WOS/Scopus journals within this area.
- Experience with research stays abroad is an advantage.
- Minimum B2 level of English; proficiency in Slovak required, Ukrainian proficiency is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a scientific team.
