The Institute for Research in Social Communication of the Slovak Academy of Sciences is looking for a colleague to join their team starting on October 1, 2021 (or at a later date), for a definite period of max 5 years, with the possibility of extension (depending on the project funding). The candidate must hold a PhD degree in psychology or related disciplines. We are looking in particular for researchers focusing on one of the following areas: family and parenthood, intimate relationships and sexuality, intergroup relations, or cognitive psychology applied to education.
The successful candidate should master advanced statistical methods. Previous scientific publishing experience, including outputs in journals registered in WOS / Scopus and outputs in English is required. International scientific mobility experience is an advantage. English proficiency of at least B2 level (CEFR) is needed. Proficiency in other foreign languages is welcome. The ability to perform independent scientific work is also assumed, as well as the ability to work in a scientific team. Experience with preparing national and international grant applications is an advantage.
